My Daily Walk with Bagel: A Virtual Adventure with Tour Notes (MTA), 10.24.18
If you’ve read the first virtual tour at the old cribo, you know this is simply here to remind my future self of what these walks were like and small details that occurred over time at specific locations on the walk. If you haven’t read the first one, I’ve linked it below at the conclusion of this virtual tour. Enjoy.

1
The beginning of the walk. Living at the end of a cul-de-sac has it’s perks. You enjoy the fact there’s nobody behind your back yard.

2
The lady who lives in the house to the right is always listening to music in her garage, but she never forgets to say hi whenever she see you and Bagel. Neighborhood hospitality is important to you at this time, especially because you’ve just moved into the new cribo two months ago.

3
The guy with all the leaves in his yard is from Buffalo, and he has asked you multiple times (in between conversation via his bluetooth) for recommendations on lawn care and landscaping. You replied multiple times that you are renting a house and you do those services yourself. Cool guy though.

4
There’s an Asian guy who is always cleaning his Civic. One time his dog, which you thought to be an Austrailian Shepherd, came up to Bagel. They sniffed each other, then started scrapping. You pulled Bagel up, and after looked at the Asian man. He looked at you and smiled calmly, almost as if nothing had happened. Made you feel like you take things too serious sometimes as you smiled back and went on your way with Bagel.

5
Once, you saw an coworker driving in your neighborhood around these houses. Turns out her ex lives here, and she’s here every so often.

6
On a few occasions, you used to see a lady with scrubs pushing her baby daughter in a stroller. On all few occasions, she told you that you and Bagel made her day because her daughter loves dogs. She’s a very sweet lady, and although she claimed to have her day made, it was her that made yours.

7
While walking Bagel back one day before lunch, an Asian lady with a thick accent asked you to call her Uber driver for her on this corner. She handed you her cell phone and you called him. He was going the complete wrong way. He apologized via text, and said the Uber ride would be free. She says she works far away and doesn’t want to drive, so she gets a ride every day. She looked distressed, so you felt bad she was going to be late as you walked away.

8
There’s a black lady that lives in one of these houses who would walk her dogs separately. Her backyard was nicely landscaped as she was always out doing work with her hat on while her dogs roamed around.

9
One September summer night, you walked past vultures eating what remained of a raccoon. You had never seen one up close before, but they were larger than you had expected. Not only that, you were intimidated by the two vultures keeping an eye while the other was feeding.

10
Kids at this corner were hooping when they stopped you to pet Bagel. As they asked about Bagel, one of the kids asked who was better LeBron or Steph. You said Steph was the better shooter, but the overall better player was LeBron. A few of the kids dapped you up and the girl petting Bagel stopped and made a smart remark, lol.

11
A lady stopped you one time while walking Bagel on this corner to ask you what Bagel was. She told you she saw you guys walking frequently and had a rescue that looked similar to Bagel. She pulled her phone out and showed you a photo. In your mind, you didn’t think her dog looked much like Bagel, but you agreed and told her what Bagel was. You two had a few more exchanges before she went back to her car. You didn’t know why, but that interaction made you feel good. Perhaps because Bagel she took the time to stop and ask a question regarding her dog’s possible similarity to Bagel.

There was one walk where you just so happened to be walking behind a guy and his boxer. He turned around at the street sign where you turned around and you told him to not be weirded out because you always turn at the same street sign and that you weren’t following him. He laughed it off and you walked behind him for another half-mile.

13
There were 3 pitbulls who were tied up at all times no matter what the weather at one of these houses. You felt so bad, but couldn’t do anything about it. One was a mix, the other was red, and the third was blue.

14
You saw Chan, a server you met at Ishi who so happens to be Cambodian, in his car at this intersection one day. Turns out he moved in the neighborhood a street down.

15
One of your first interactions with the neighbors happened shortly after you moved in on this corner. You were walking with Bagel and a guy with a small dog asked what he was. You said Catahoula and he was certain Bagel wasn’t a Catahoula. You two ‘debated’ over dogs before moving on to Rottweilers as he is a Rottweiler breeder. It gave you a bad first impression of him, but after, he was one of the kindest neighbors you’d come across there.
