48 Random Images On My First Laptop [NSFW]

Since I learned how to use a computer and navigate the internet, I’ve always saved images. I saved images that made me feel something, whether it be joy, melancholy, or nostalgia. It was myself subconsciously curating personal tastes and simultaneously allowing me to teach myself to myself while learning about myself. Recently I’ve been investigating the idea of ‘favorites’ and ‘likes’ on various social media platforms. Besides people we know, why do we like certain photos on Instagram? Why do we favorite certain tweets on Twitter? Why do we share specific stories on Facebook? I’m reminded every few days by Facebook that I have n-number of saved posts to look back on. I rarely look back on the posts I’ve saved. Same with liked photos on Instagram and favorited tweets. It made me examine on a deeper psychological extent as to why I partake in such activities and what I gain from it. The only conclusion I came to is it is a natural reaction to things that make me feel things. Ambiguous, I know, but I’m sure you can relate to some extent without a well-articulated conclusion.

Here we have images that have been saved on my computer for some time. I haven’t seen some of these images in 7-9 years, so a lot of these images are nostalgic for me at the time of this writing although they weren’t at the time of their saving. Reminders of a kid I look up to. Check the photos out and let me know if you feel anything. Also, why do you like certain photos, and tweets on social media? Is there a purpose to the stories you share? Let me know in the comments!
