Ratha Goon NFL Fantasy Team, 8.15.18

Ratha Goon NFL Fantasy Team, 8.15.18

Football is almost back, which means Fantasy is almost back. Our league had our Fantasy draft today after weeks of trying to set up a working time. We’ve been doing this since 2013, which makes this our 5th year. The draft was set for 5pm, but I ended up napping until 5:01pm. I set my alarm and when I got up, the first round was in duration. A glitch didn’t allow me to log on, so ESPN auto-drafted my first pick.

I do the same thing every year. My strategy is to pick a player that will guarantee me points week in and week out for my first pick, and then go for the Chargers players. I went in for my first pick with my eyes on Kamara, but since I couldn’t make it in the draft until the 2nd round, I got David Johnson.

FANTASY RULES

1.       Philip Rivers on the team

2.       Chargers players follow (If fitting)

3.       Never start players playing against Chargers

14.   Carlos Hyde, RB Cleveland Browns

15.   C.J. Anderson, RB Carolina Panthers

16.   Virgil Green, TE Los Angeles Chargers

A Few Notes

1.       I drafted Keenan so early because of the hype surrounding him from last year.  I knew I had to get him early before anybody else did.

2.       I usually stack up on RBs because they get majority of touches with the exception of the QBs.

3.       T.Y. has been on my team for the past 5 years.

4.       Austin Ekeler is a sleeper, so I knew I would be able to pick him a little later.

I’ll update this with my rosters and W-L every 4 weeks. We will see if my strategy finally pays off this year. Do you play Fantasy? If so, who do you have on your team? Do you have any sleepers you think will surprise the league this year? Let me know in the comments!

Weeks 1-4, Record: 1-3

Weeks 5-8, Record: 3-5
